Whether you enjoy pleasure sailing, cruising, racing, dinghy's, paddling or power boating you are a stranger but once at Bronte Harbour Yacht Club. Relax and enjoy the warm and friendly atmosphere at the club nestled in the heart of Bronte Village. The Club is open weekends and weekdays all year round. The fireplaces will warm you in the winter months and you will love the view of the harbour from our expansive windows and deck area.
Our club hosts an active social events calendar for members twelve months of the year. Whether your interest lies in cruising, racing, paddling or social yachting, you will find it at BHYC. Camaraderie and enthusiasm are the heart of our Club. It's no wonder we have enjoyed a strong and active membership for over 50 years!
Our Facilities & Programs Include:
- Full racing program for a variety of sailboat classes,
- Great weekend cruises for sail and powerboats, Paddling for canoeing and kayaks,
- Dinghy yard and launch ramps,
- Dry Sailing Crane,

- Monthly Newsletter "The Signal",
- Reciprocal privileges with over 80 other clubs,
- An active summer sailing school for youth and adults,
- Year round social programs including dinner dances, pub nights, darts, theme parties,
- The club facilities can be rented to members or non-members for private functions.
- Open 12 months of the year.
For The Racers
BHYC is renowned for racing. Members of the club have won high honours at National and International levels. Many of these champions started in the BHYC Sailing School!
For racers who like to stay closer to home, the Race Committee at BHYC works tirelessly to provide many interesting race opportunities. During the season the activities schedule includes, but is not limited to:
- Spring/Summer Racing Series – two evenings a week Fall racing on Sundays
- Many Regattas for the really relaxed racer, TGIF "races"
- Member of the Ontario Sailing Association
- Member of the Golden Horseshoe Yacht Racing Association (GHYRA),
- Member of Lake Yacht Racing Association (LYRA),
- Crew Bank
The fall season winds down with as many races as weather permits, including the "Turkey Race" at Thanksgiving and the "Die Hards' Race" to cap the season. Contested titles are awarded at the annual Awards Night Dinner and Dance.
