PHRF Spring Sail Measurement

There are many reasons why you might need to get sails measured this year:

  • You have a new boat
  • You have multiple spinnakers. We need to know which is the largest under the new sail area calculations.
  • You have a spinnaker with a foot that is smaller than the girth. You may be eligible for a handicap benefit.
  • Your largest headsail sheets in front of the spreaders and has at least one full batten. We need the HHW measurement.
  • You have a non-triangular mainsail. We need MGM and MGU measurements.

This spring there are two dates to get measured:

  • Sunday, March 30, 2014, 10:00 to 12:00 noon Burlington Sailing and Boating Club RSVP to moreanon2012@gmail.com for vehicle access and directions
  • Sunday, April 13, 2014, 10:00 to 12:00 noon Oakville Yacht Squadron No RSVP necessary

All members urged to attend the General Meeting re: plans for proposed clubhouse renovations

On Thursday, March 27th, 19:30 hours a General Meeting will be convened at BHYC so that the Board may present an update on the project underway regarding proposed clubhouse renovations and professional fees for the next phase; namely, architectural drawings required in order to move forward.

As per By-Law 39, all Senior and Life members, in good standing, of Bronte Harbour Yacht Club have been notified by mail of this meeting. Furthermore, Senior and Life members are eligible to vote on the motion.

However, given the importance of this project, all members are urged to attend in order that they are fully apprised of what is being proposed.
