Bronte Harbour Yacht Club has been teaching the community (of all ages) to sail since 1962. Courses are available for Juniors (7-11 years), Youth (12-18 years), and Adults (19 years and over). All instruction is by Canadian Yachting Association certified instructors. Instruction takes place both on shore and on the water. On shore, students will learn sailing theory, rigging and boat maintenance, and on the lake students will receive practical sailing instruction.
• Day sessions are 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. If Canada Day
and the August Civic holiday fall on a weekday, Classes will be held. Details and fees

• Drop offs can start at 8:30 am as Instructors are
on site. Please pick up by 4:00 pm. If required, earlier and later times
for supervision of students can be arranged.
• Junior Club classes
meet at the Junior Clubhouse - 81 West River Street - on the west bank
of Bronte Creek.
• A lunch programme is available for those who do
not wish to pack a lunch. Details of the Lunch Programme are here
• Both evening and
week-end classes are available, in both dinghies and keelboats.

The dinghy programme is based in 420s and CL 14s. The keelboat
programme is based in Sharks
• Evening classes run Mondays and
Wednesdays from 6:00pm to approximately 9:00pm, and meet at the main
Clubhouse 2514 Lakeshore Road West.
• Week-end sessions are 4 days
long. There will be one 2-weekend session in July, and one 2-weekend
