BHYC High School Regatta Notice of Race

Eligibility and Entry
All students in High School with a valid student card are invited to race their: 29er, Club 420, Laser>>, Byte, Byte CII, Laser, Laser 4.7, and Laser Radial.
Entry Fee
The cost is $25 if an email is sent to highschoolregatta@gmail.com by 1159pm Tues, September 14th indicating the skipper’s name (crew name if applicable), boat type, sail number and name of high school. Please write High School in Subject line. The cost after September 15th is $30. Registration will include a pre-race breakfast and a hamburger BBQ afterwards. Registration will be available September 18th from 9 am to 10:30 am. Please present student card at registration.
Rules
The Regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.
Sailing Instructions
The sailing instructions will be available at the registration desk during registration times.
Venue
The racing area for all will be south of the Bronte Harbour Pier. Parents can view the racing area from the south pier, help with launch / haul out and dollies much appreciated.
Racing
A maximum 5 races are planned. The first race will start at 12:00 pm. No race will start after 3:30pm Our intention is to have the racers returning to shore by 4pm.
Scoring /Prizes
The Low Point scoring system will apply with the worst score discarded if 3 or more races have been completed. Prizes will be awarded to the skipper and crew finishing first through third.
