Lady Helm and Crew’s Chance Race
Saturday, August 20th 2011

The Races: Two races around-the-buoys, in the first of which each yacht must be helmed continuously from its preparatory signal to its finish by a female, and the second by a crew member other than the regular skipper

Classes: There will be handicap racing in three classes: Sharks*, Main & Jib and Spinnaker.

* Class could be deleted due to insufficient number of boats

The Course: The course will be the same (A or B) as for BHYC Club Racing. (Non Racers can find the Club’s SI’s with course diagram in the Club Racing page on the Club website)

The Rules: As for Club racing except the Curfew will be 1600 hrs.

Registration: On forms posted in the club and at the Skipper’s meeting.

Skippers Meeting: 9:30 am Saturday August 20th at the club.

Start Time: Lady Helm
Warning Signal 1100 hrs
Preparatory Signal 1101 hrs
Shark Start 1105 hrs *
Main & Jib 1110 hrs
Spinnaker 1115 hrs

Crews Chance
After completion of the first race. Same start sequence.

* If the Shark class is deleted, the subsequent starts will be advanced by 5 minutes.

Awards: Flags for each class will be awarded at Award’s Night November 19th, 2011.
